Terms and Conditions of Participation
1. Organiser

The giveaway is conducted via the Instagram account @schlosslautrach.
2. Giveaway Period
The giveaway begins on 23 August 2026 at 10:00 a.m. and ends on 6 September 2026 at 11:59 p.m..
Entries submitted after the end of the giveaway period cannot be considered in the prize draw.
3. Eligibility
Natural persons who are at least 18 years of age at the time of participation are eligible to participate.
Participation is free of charge and is not dependent on the purchase of any goods or services.
Employees of Schloss Lautrach Hotel GmbH and their relatives are excluded from participation.
4. How to Participate
To participate in the giveaway, the following requirements must be fulfilled within the giveaway period:
- follow the Instagram account @schlosslautrach,
- like the giveaway post,
- state in a comment who you would like to spend the getaway with, and
- answer the question “What is one thing that should never be missing from your perfect getaway for two?” in the comment.
All participation requirements must still be fulfilled at the time of the prize draw.
Only one entry per person or Instagram account will be considered in the prize draw. Multiple comments do not increase the chances of winning.
Sharing the giveaway post in your own Instagram Story is expressly welcomed, but is voluntary and is not a requirement for participation. Sharing the post does not increase the chances of winning.
5. Prize
The prize is a getaway for two people at Schloss Lautrach including the following services:
- 1 overnight stay for two people in a Deluxe Double Room
- generous breakfast for two people
- dinner for two people
- 1 bottle of Schloss wine in the room
- a sweet welcome surprise
The prize must be redeemed subject to availability and within six months of notification of the prize. There is no entitlement to a specific date of stay.
The prize cannot be paid out in cash, nor can any remaining value be paid out.
Travel to and from Schloss Lautrach is not included in the prize. All associated costs as well as any other services not expressly listed as part of the prize must be borne by the winner.
6. Selection and Notification of the Winner
After the end of the giveaway period, the winner will be selected at random from all valid entries. The content of the answer to the giveaway question has no influence on the chances of winning.
The winner will be notified exclusively by direct message from the official Instagram account @schlosslautrach.
The winner must respond within 7 days of receiving the prize notification. If no response is received within this period, the claim to the prize will expire and the prize may be drawn again from the remaining valid entries.
For the further processing of the prize, personal data required for the reservation may be requested.
7. Exclusion from the Giveaway
Schloss Lautrach Hotel GmbH reserves the right to exclude persons from the giveaway in the event of a breach of these Terms and Conditions or attempted manipulation.
This includes, in particular, false information, automated or technically manipulated entries, and the use of multiple accounts with the aim of improperly increasing the chances of winning.
8. Instagram / Meta
This giveaway is in no way connected with Instagram or Meta and is not sponsored, supported or organised by Instagram or Meta.
The sole organiser and contact for the implementation of the giveaway is Schloss Lautrach Hotel GmbH.
By participating in the giveaway, participants release Instagram, to the extent permitted by law, from any claims arising in connection with the implementation of this giveaway.
Schloss Lautrach Hotel GmbH cannot accept responsibility for technical disruptions or restrictions within the Instagram platform that are beyond its control.
9. Legal Recourse
Legal recourse with regard to the conduct of the prize draw and the determination of the winner is excluded to the extent permitted by law.

12. What Personal Data Is Processed?
In connection with the giveaway, the following personal data in particular may be processed:
- Instagram username and profile name,
- publicly visible profile information,
- the content of the giveaway comment,
- information as to whether the Instagram account @schlosslautrach is being followed and whether the giveaway post has been liked,
- in the event of winning, contact and identification data provided via Instagram direct message, and
- data required for the reservation and redemption of the prize.
Voluntarily sharing the giveaway in an Instagram Story is not required for participation and will not be taken into account when determining the winner.
13. Purpose and Legal Basis of Processing
Personal data is processed exclusively to the extent necessary for the implementation of the giveaway. This includes in particular:
- checking whether the participation requirements have been fulfilled,
- conducting the prize draw,
- contacting the winner, and
- processing and reserving the prize.
The legal basis for processing data required for participation in and implementation of the giveaway is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.
Where processing is required due to statutory retention obligations, this is carried out on the basis of Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR.
Where data must exceptionally be retained for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims, the processing is carried out on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in safeguarding and defending our legal interests.
Personal data collected in connection with the giveaway will not be used for newsletters, direct marketing or other advertising purposes unrelated to the giveaway.
14. Recipients of the Data
Within Schloss Lautrach Hotel GmbH, access to the data is limited to those persons who are involved in conducting the giveaway or processing the prize.
Giveaway data will not be passed on to third parties for their own advertising purposes.
Where service providers are used for the technical or organisational implementation of the giveaway, processing will take place only in accordance with the applicable data protection regulations.
15. Data Processing by Instagram / Meta
The giveaway is conducted on the Instagram platform. Independently of the data processing carried out by Schloss Lautrach Hotel GmbH, the operator of the Instagram platform also processes users' personal data.
Schloss Lautrach Hotel GmbH has only limited influence over the nature and scope of this independent data processing by Instagram or Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd.

16. Retention Period
Personal data stored or documented outside Instagram solely for the purpose of conducting the giveaway will be deleted once the giveaway has been fully completed and the prize has been processed, unless statutory retention obligations or legitimate reasons for longer storage apply.
For data relating to the winner that is subsequently required for the reservation and provision of the hotel stay, the statutory retention periods applicable to booking and contractual data as well as the provisions of our general privacy policy apply.
Comments and other content published by participants themselves on Instagram may remain stored on the platform independently of this, in accordance with Instagram's terms of use and privacy policy.
17. Rights of Data Subjects
Subject to the applicable statutory requirements, data subjects have, in particular, the right to:
- obtain information about the personal data stored about them,
- have inaccurate data corrected,
- have personal data deleted,
- restrict the processing of their personal data,
- data portability, where the statutory requirements are met,
- object to certain processing activities, and
- lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.
The competent supervisory authority for Schloss Lautrach Hotel GmbH is generally the Bavarian State Office for Data Protection Supervision (BayLDA).

18. Final Provisions
The laws of the Federal Republic of Germany shall apply, provided that no mandatory statutory provisions stipulate otherwise.
Should individual provisions of these Terms and Conditions be or become invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions shall remain unaffected.
